Our Artists

Art is a powerful form of human expression, through which emotions and ideas come to life.
The artists of EXIM Gallery span diverse disciplines, working with a variety of materials, techniques, and media. Their goal is not only to convey their thoughts and reflect their vision of reality but also to evoke emotions that inspire deep reflection on our surroundings.

In this sense, we are the painters of the canvas of our lives and the sculptors of our existence.

José Refugio González Ibarra

When I think back to my childhood, memories come alive through the scent of wet earth, the feel of damp hands, and the sight of my parents shaping clay. It was in our family workshop where my journey began—an education that continued as I worked in different studios, observing the craft of my mentors, listening to their advice, and, above all, experimenting freely with new forms and concepts as I developed my own artistic voice.

When I mold my abstract pieces, my hands become an extension of my emotions. I express ideas through form, texture, and color, always seeking a harmonious balance.

Each sculpture carries a piece of my story. They reflect the way I see and interpret life—raw, honest, and ever-evolving.

Humberto Sosa

“An aura to protect him, an angel to watch over him, and a light to guide him.”
This was the message at the heart of a powerful dream Humberto had years ago. It moved him so deeply that he named his three children after it: Aura, Ángel, and Luz—his eternal sources of inspiration.

Our exclusive artist from Guanajuato is living proof that one can live through art. His journey shows that everything is possible, that there are no limits, and that even when facing the unknown—filled with doubts and fears—success in the art world is within reach through passion and perseverance.

Eduardo García Gallegos artista mexicano

Eduardo García Gallegos

The sixth child in a traditional Mexican family, Eduardo García Gallegos felt the call of art from a very young age. He first explored this passion through urban art, entering the scene at just 15 years old. However, working under someone else’s vision limited his ability to fully express what he felt within.

Years later, after confronting his fears, Eduardo chose to forge his own path—creating original works that reflect his personal aesthetic and emotional language. Through this journey, he has reinterpreted traditional forms and concepts, breathing new life into the art world with a bold, avant-garde approach—while still honoring the deep roots of Mexican clay artistry.

Eduardo reminds us that greatness is achieved through hard work, discipline, and, above all, love for one’s craft.
